## Keep access to the account you prepared

Open WeChat on the phone you will take. Confirm that you know how to reach its payment area and can complete any pending setup prompts. A last-minute device change may leave you dealing with authentication while travelling.

Keep access to your registered number and bank app. Check the practical details of receiving messages abroad with your provider rather than assuming a data-only travel plan includes SMS.

## Rehearse the steps you will actually use

Find the scanner and its photo-album control. Practise opening a saved receiving image without approving a payment. Notice where the app shows the recipient and funding method.

If you choose to make a donation, inspect the final screen and check the transaction history afterwards. You can also prepare without spending anything: knowing how to stop or cancel is part of the rehearsal.

## Prepare for a flat battery or failed connection

Save essential booking details and the official support routes for your wallet and bank. Pack a charging cable and arrange a usable connection for arrival. Do not store payment passwords alongside those notes.

Have a second way to pay that suits your itinerary. Two apps relying on the same phone and card share several failure points, so think beyond simply installing another wallet.
