This notice covers visits to Test My WeChat, your optional analytics choice and messages sent to the site operator.

The operator and your questions

Julian operates Test My WeChat. Send privacy requests to [email protected]. Do not include identity documents, card credentials or verification codes in an email.

Serving the website

Pages, images and fonts are delivered through Cloudflare. Connection information, including IP address, request time, requested address and browser details, can be processed to serve and secure the site. We rely on our legitimate interest in operating a secure website, under GDPR Article 6(1)(f) where applicable. Our application does not maintain its own visitor-access database; Cloudflare’s retention depends on the service involved.

Your analytics decision

Google Analytics is optional. Until you accept, this site sends no analytics request or consent ping to Google. You can reject analytics and still scan, download receiving codes and read every guide. If you accept, Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC process usage events, cookie identifiers, browser and device details, approximate location and connection information to provide visit statistics. We rely on consent under GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and applicable cookie rules.

The tag for this domain is G-4MDJZPNK8C. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled in our configuration. We remove URL queries and fragments from the page-location and referrer values we send. Our tag does not report wallet confirmations or the contents of contact emails.

Remembering and changing your choice

Your browser stores testmywechat:consent:v1 to remember acceptance or rejection for six months. This necessary preference contains the decision, policy version and timestamps, rather than an analytics visitor ID. Both decisions last equally long. If browser storage is blocked, the choice cannot persist between visits.

After acceptance, Google may use _ga and _ga_4MDJZPNK8C cookies. Our tag sets their lifetime to the remaining consent period, up to six months, without refreshing that lifetime on every visit. Browser restrictions may shorten it.

Open Cookie settings in the footer whenever you want to change your decision. Withdrawing consent stops our tag, removes its analytics cookies and reloads the page. It does not undo prior lawful processing or automatically erase records already held by Google. Contact us about an erasure request.

Payments and correspondence

We provide receiving images, not a card-entry form. Your wallet and issuer handle authentication, payment details and transaction records under their own privacy terms. We cannot independently read your payment status.

Email sent to [email protected] is forwarded by Cloudflare to the operator’s Gmail inbox. We use the address, message and any necessary non-sensitive transaction reference to respond, based on our legitimate interests or steps related to your transaction under GDPR Article 6(1)(f) or (b). Messages are kept only while needed for the enquiry or applicable retention duties.

Retention, providers and links

Event-level Analytics retention follows this property’s settings; aggregated reporting can be retained differently. Cloudflare, Google and email services process information under their applicable terms. Processing may occur outside the EEA. Their published transfer arrangements include Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We do not sell personal data.

Source, app-store and referral links leave this website. The destination’s own privacy notice applies there. Affiliate identifiers in some links attribute a referral to our account, and the destination may use its own tracking after the link is followed.

Requests and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent. Contact the operator using the address above. You may also complain to the relevant data-protection authority. We do not use this site’s data for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
